You can also try the mountains traditional feijoada (stew with mainly beans, vegetables and pork meat) and There are lots of different goat and cow cheese, ham and sausage to take as appetisers with home baked bread, natural cow butter and southern tasty olives. In the Algarve there is a wide range of traditional almond and carob sweets and liquor usually served in the end on the meal. You can also find nice puddings and cakes. In the other regions of there are many special traditional dishes and sweets to try. Mostly they are the same remaining the main difference in the cooker and the preparation methods.
